A Plain-Language Privacy Overview
Pregnancy and reproductive-health information can reveal sensitive details about a person's body, routines, family context, questions, and support needs. Mom's Bloom treats these categories as high-sensitivity information rather than generic lifestyle data.
- Pregnancy profile details such as due date, trimester, and pregnancy week.
- Wellness, symptom, mood, appointment, kick, contraction, and journal entries.
- AI prompts and responses about pregnancy or wellness.
- Belly photos, related metadata, exports, and optional sharing choices.
- Partner or family support signals where a feature is enabled.
This article is a plain-language guide to Mom's Bloom public privacy and trust pages. It does not replace the canonical public pages, counsel review, security review, or release-owner approval. The current compliance source pack still lists release evidence and counsel-finalization gaps, so this article should not be read as final legal advice or product release approval.
Mom's Bloom is an adult-only iOS and Android mobile pregnancy wellness app. It is for wellness support, organization, education, journaling, reminders, memories, partner support, and AI-supported reflections with clear limits. It is not a medical device, is not diagnostic, is not an emergency service, and is not a substitute for qualified medical, mental-health, or emergency care.
Start With the Canonical Public Pages
For legal, privacy, deletion, safety, security, and processor details, use the canonical Mom's Bloom pages instead of relying on a standalone article summary:
- Read the Mom's Bloom Privacy Policy for scope, data categories, purposes, disclosures, retention, rights, transfer notes, and contact details.
- Read the Health Data Processing Notice for pregnancy, reproductive-health, wellness, AI, photos, partner-sharing, and consent context.
- Review Privacy Choices for in-app choices, request-based rights, consent withdrawal, analytics caveats, and deletion boundaries.
- Review Account Deletion information before deleting an account or requesting support-assisted deletion.
- Read the Trust & Security summary for evidence-bound safeguards and current limitations.
- Review the Subprocessors page for current known service categories and sensitive-data context.
- Read the AI and Medical Disclaimer for AI limits, wellness-only scope, and emergency guidance.
Safeguards Are Described as Controls, Not Guarantees
The Trust & Security page describes current repo-backed controls without adding external-certification or absolute-security claims. Examples currently described there include:
- Supabase-backed authentication and server-side data controls.
- Firebase App Check for app-integrity and abuse mitigation.
- Crash-log sanitization intended to reduce leakage of sensitive content into diagnostics.
- Backend deletion logic that removes belly-photo storage objects before account deletion completes.
- Consent-archive logic to preserve legal-evidence records where required.
The public Privacy Policy also states that administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards are designed to protect personal and health-related information, while no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. That security caveat matters: this article should not be read as a promise of any particular encryption standard, certification, external assurance program, or breach-proof system.
Processors and AI Processing
Mom's Bloom uses processors and service providers so requested app features can work. The current public subprocessor summary includes services for authentication, database, storage, AI response generation, app integrity, push messaging, crash diagnostics, first-party product analytics, subscriptions, app-store operations, website hosting, and support or email tooling where finalized.
For AI-supported features, prompts and selected context may be processed by backend systems and AI providers acting on Mom's Bloom's behalf. AI output is supportive and informational only, may be wrong or incomplete, and must not be treated as medical advice or emergency guidance.
This article does not add independent promises about provider region, retention, logging, secondary use, or deletion. The compliance source pack treats those items as evidence gates requiring live provider, store, security, and counsel review before release.
Data Location and Transfers
The current public Privacy Policy says Mom's Bloom and its processors may store or process information in jurisdictions other than your own. Where required, appropriate contractual, organizational, or technical safeguards may be used for transfers.
Jurisdiction-specific transfer rules, including India DPDP transfer requirements and any EU or UK transfer mechanisms, still require counsel finalization before publication is treated as final. For current public details, read the Privacy Policy and Subprocessors page.
Sale, Advertising, Analytics, and Sharing Posture
The current public documents state a documented posture that Mom's Bloom does not sell health data, does not use health data for targeted advertising, does not use the app for cross-app tracking, and does not use healthcare or reproductive-health geofencing. The same documents also preserve an important caveat: this posture remains subject to final Firebase Analytics, ATT, SDK, provider-console, store-console, and counsel verification before release.
Partner and family sharing is described as feature-specific and user-controlled, not blanket access to all pregnancy records. Private chat mode is intended to keep supported messages out of partner-visible contexts, but private mode does not mean messages are outside Mom's Bloom systems or processors.
Deletion, Export, and Consent Choices
Mom's Bloom public pages describe several current or operationally supported choices:
- In supported builds, account deletion can be scheduled in-app, suspending access immediately and setting a permanent deletion date 30 calendar days later unless the account is restored first.
- Deletion is intended to remove live account records and associated content under Mom's Bloom control, subject to lawful retention exceptions, backup cycles, processor timing, subscription or accounting records, local or offline device data, exported files, and recipient copies outside Mom's Bloom control.
- In supported builds, a JSON export can cover major profile, journal, tracker, chat, memory, partner-check-in, checklist, and bump-journey data, but it may not include every diagnostic, analytics, subscription, support, consent-audit, deletion-log, processor-held, local/offline, or derived record.
- Health-data consent withdrawal generally affects future consent-based processing. It does not automatically delete existing data, cancel subscriptions, delete app-store records, or remove records retained under another lawful basis.
Review the Account Deletion page and Privacy Choices page before making deletion, export, or withdrawal decisions.
India DPDP and Other Privacy Rights
The public Privacy Policy, Health Data Processing Notice, and Privacy Choices page include India DPDP notes and other jurisdiction notes. They describe rights and obligations that may include notice, consent, withdrawal, correction, erasure, grievance handling, reasonable security safeguards, breach notices, processor management, and restrictions for children's data where applicable.
Those jurisdiction notes are expressly subject to counsel confirmation of effective rules, launch applicability, exact statutory wording, transfer rules, significant-data-fiduciary analysis, grievance workflow, and breach or rights-response requirements. This article does not turn those draft notes into a final legal conclusion.
How to Ask Privacy or Trust Questions
Use the approved Mom's Bloom public contact for privacy, trust, security, deletion, and support questions: contact Mom's Bloom privacy support at momsbloom@jssailabs.com. Avoid sending highly sensitive pregnancy details by email unless they are necessary for your request.
Bottom line: Mom's Bloom public pages are designed to explain privacy, health-data processing, deletion, AI limits, trust controls, and processors in an evidence-bound way.
